Nurturing The Soul

Rose from our garden photo by my husband – “How did the rose ever open its heart and give to this world all of its beauty? It felt the encouragement of Light against its being; otherwise we all remain too frightened.” ~ Hafiz

“I have been a seeker and I still am, but I stopped asking the books and the stars. I started listening to the teaching of my Soul.” ~ Rumi

I am a soul that lives in a body. Albeit I will be in this body only for a while, I will care for it. Keeping this body healthy is important because I live in it. Caring for this body also means to care for the earth. The well-being of the earth and my body are inseparable.

Somewhere along my journey I understood that the soul that I am has gifts that I am supposed to use for the good of all beings. I became conscious that the soul that I am needs nourishment for the gifts to come to the light. Very much like the physical body and the earth, the soul that I am needs nurturing.

Eventually I became aware that when I feed the soul I am also caring for the body and the earth. As the great spiritual teacher Caroline Myss would say my life in this earth has to be regarded as a bio-spiritual-ecological system.

So often our spiritual side gets neglected and yet nurturing our soul is the most powerful way to find the most successful ways to care for the body, the earth and all beings under this beautiful blue sky.

Let us nourish the soul uncompromisingly so that we may bring forwards the light and the love nature of the soul expressing in gifts that are both unique for each one of us and utterly essential for the good of all.

When I nurture the soul that I am, just like a rosebud in the sunshine eventually opens into a rose and spreads its perfume and beauty with the world, so do my soul gifts come into the light to humbly serve the world.

Many blessings on your day beautiful souls
